Back in the 20's & 30's the rich and famous built "Great Camps" and private retreats in the Adirondacks to get away from their busy lives and the general public. Millionaires and movie stars built rustic lakefront chalets many of which could only be reached by small sea planes.

One of these great camps was built about 20 miles NE of Lowville (off of the Stillwater Road) in the Town of Watson by the founder of National Cash Register (NCR). This property is so remote that it won't even show up on our Mapquest Database. Populated by just a handful of other quality homes; you too could still enjoy the privacy, solitude, great morning and evening views and meandering walks along the tall pine forested shore lines of Beaver Lake.

If you enjoy your leisure time and want an escape from your busy world, an escape from your morning commute to work, visit the Adirondack Mountain Park Region or check out PartyPoker instead of a boring spreadsheet.

No you won't have to take a seaplane to get here, but you could take an old fashioned trainride and when you arrive, you'll be greeted by crisp fresh air once revered by the rich and famous from days past.
