~ Hardscrabble Point - The most beautiful sunsets in the world ~

Hardscrabble Point is one of the few large, undeveloped parcels remaining on Lake Ontario. With 3,300 feet of pristine shoreline and over 100 acres of wooded land, this road-access mainland property is a sportsman's paradise or the ideal corporate or family retreat.

Legendary for its duck hunting, Hardscrabble Point was originally purchased in 1938 by a Watertown physician who loved to hunt, and the property has remained in his family ever since. The duck hunting at Hardscrabble is still some of the best in the Atlantic flyway, and Hardscrabble continues to be a staging area for ducks of every species that raft there by the thousands. Because Hardscrabble has nearly three-quarters of a mile of frontage, eight to ten people can hunt there at the same time, either from stone blinds along the shoreline or from "floaters" offshore.

Wildlife also abounds on this heavily wooded property, with deer, turkeys and grouse being especially plentiful. For the fisherman, Hardscrabble offers some of the finest fishing in the area, and there is a boat ramp on the property that can handle a fairly large boat, depending on the lake level. For larger boats and float planes, there is a full-service marina only a few minutes away.
